Team Jamaica plans to attend the next FIL Girls U-19 World Championships at Trent University in Petersborough, Ontario, Canada, August 1-10, 2019.
Age Eligibility Requirements:
To be eligible to play in a FIL World Event, a player must be at least 15 years of age as of the day prior to start of the event (Opening Ceremony) when rosters are final. For FIL Under 19 (U19) World Events only, players must be 18 years of age or younger on 31 August in the year prior to the World Championship.Note: A player may turn 19 years old on or after September 1 of the year prior to the U19 World Championship

This is not a “tryout registration” it is simply being used by the JLA to capture the contacts and vital information on those in Jamaica and the Diaspora, that qualify, per the Federation of International Lacrosse (FIL) eligibility rules, to represent Jamaica in World Championship competition. If one of your parents or grandparents was born in Jamaica, you would be eligible to try out for the team. Note that the team will need to have certain percentage of naturalized, passport holding Jamaicans for the FIL to accept our roster submission for World Events.
